MD T2 Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to questions that we are often asked by students. We hope you find the answers helpful, however, if you have a question that is not answered below, please feel free to email us at mdt2@umd.edu.

1. How do I register for a course?
   Registering for a course is simple, fill out the registration form. For information on the courses offered check out our current courses page.
2. How do I cancel a course registration?
   Your course registration can be cancled up tp five working days prior to the scheduled course by emailing Janette Prince at janette@umd.edu.
3. What forms of payment do we accept?
   The MD T2 Center will be happy to accept payment by P.O., check, Mastercard, or Visa.
4. What is the MD T2 Center's Federal Tax ID Number?
   Our Federal Tax ID Number is: 52-6002033
5. If a registree can't make it can someone else from my company attend the course instead?
   Absolutely! On the day of the class, please just make a note on the sign-in sheet letting us know who's place you took.
6. Where can I park?
   Parking is available at the College Park Airport. All drivers will receive a parking pass prior to the scheduled class via email, which allows parking at the College Park Airport. This parking lot is located directly behind the MD T2 Center. For driving directions, visit our contact us page.
7. Are you accessible from the Metro?
   Yes we are located within walking distance from the College Park Metro Station (Green Line). From the College Park Metro Station: Exit the metro station through the turnstiles. Make an immediate left and go up the stairs. Walk along side of the parking deck and cross Paint Branch Parkway at the parking deck traffic signal. The MD T2 Center is located in the four-story brick building with a banner at the top saying Technology Ventures Building. To plan your visit using the metro visit Metro's web site.
8. Are you accessible from a MARC train station?
   Yes, we are a short walk from the College Park station which is on the MARC Camden Line. To plan your trip vian the MARC train visit their web site.
9. Where are you located exactly?

11. How many CEU's are offered?
    We do offer courses with Continuing Education Unit's or CEU's. Whether a course has CEU's can be found in the course descriptions offered on our course catalog page.
    
    Here is a description of what CEU's are and how they are determined:
    The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a certified standard credit reflecting 10 hours of actual training (thus 1 hour = 0.1 CEU).  Some professions may require a certain amount of training, and the CEU is one recognized measure of how much training you have received.  The T2 Center tracks these credits.  CEU’s are not offered for every training, but are offered for those classes with a well-defined curriculum and demonstration of achieved learning by test or exercises.  The number of CEU’s can change slightly to reflect actual hours, and materials covered.  So, even some courses without CEU’s listed may have them the next time a course is offered.  Due to breaks, most courses are worth 0.6 CEU’s per day.  Certificates noting CEU’s are awarded to those who successfully complete the full course.

13. How do I register more people than the registration form allows?
    The registration form allows up to nine participants to register at one time, if you have more than nine registrants, please email Janette Prince at janette@umd.edu to let her know who the other registrants are and she'll be glad to include them.
