Civil and Environmental Engineering Department's Professor Skibniewski is the coauthor of a new book chapter in the recently published Springer Handbook of Mechanical Engineering (Springer Verlag, Germany). This Handbook is part of Springer's flaghsip series of professional reference books in various areas of science and engineering. Chapter 14 (Construction Machinery) reports in part on automated construction equipment which has been one of the subjects of Prof. Skibniewski's research over the past 20 years.
