CATT Lab in the News

The Center for Advanced Transportation Technology Laboratory (CATT Lab) located at the University of Maryland in the A. James Clark School of Engineering has been a valuable resource to transportation officials especially after Monday’s tragic Metro accident. The CATT Lab through tools such as the regional integrated transportation information system (RITIS) can take the information from each of the area’s transportation agencies and make it available in one place. RITIS as well as the CATT Lab’s timelines for real-time and historical incident visualization and the 3-d, real-time traffic monitoring or virtual helicopter were the spotlights during its recent media coverage.
