Dr. Gerry Galloway Accorded An Honorary Diplomate Award

Dr. Gerry Galloway was accorded an honorary diplomate award by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE) at the World Water and Environmental Resources Congress in May 2005.

He was part of the eleven members of the first group of diplomates who were accorded honorary status, the AAWRE's highest distinction. There was a reception held for a total of 93 diplomates on hand (hosted by the AAWRE and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers) who were commended for completing ASCE's first voluntary, post licensure specialty certification program.

The AAWRE was founded by practicing water resources professional who are members of ASCE's Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) to improve the practice and elevate the standards of water resources engineering, as well as, to raise its stature. Approved by the AAWRE's board of trustees in March 2005, the Diplomates comprise of a wide range of water resources engineering experts in academia, public service, and private practice.
